We Celebrated World Human Milk Donation Day

This World Human Milk Donation Day, Dr. D. Y. Patil Private Super Specialty Hospital, Pune proudly hosted the first White Carpet Walk, to educate and encourage lactating mothers to come ahead and donate milk.

The White Carpet Walk witnessed participation from 40+ donor mothers. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony for donor mothers and an awareness session highlighting the significance of donating human milk and its benefits for the mothers as well.

Dr. Bhagyashree P. Patil, (Pro-Chancelor, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth & Hospital), emphasized the hospital's commitment to supporting various causes, while Dr. Shailaja Mane highlighted the need for milk banks and increased awareness. The event was inaugurated by Dr. J. S. Bhawalkar, (Dean), and supported by Dr. H. H. Chavan, (Medical Superintendent), and Dr. Shailaja Mane, (Head of Pediatrics).
