On the occasion of National Organ Donation Day, we felicitated living organ donors and the families of deceased donors.

Reinforcing how organ donation can make a world of difference to someone’s life, on the occasion of National Organ Donation Day, Dr. D. Y. Patil Private Super Specialty Hospital in Pimpri, Pune, felicitated living organ donors and the families of deceased donors. The donors were felicitated at the hands of Dr. Sanjay Shinde, Joint Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Dr. Yashraj Patil, Trustee and Treasurer of Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pimpri, Pune. Other dignitaries, hospital staff and doctors were also present.

In an effort to bring people together and raise awareness about organ donation, the hospital organized an engaging canvas painting activity facilitated by two professional artists. With active participation by the present dignitaries, hospital leaders, doctors, students, donors and donor families, this innovative activity aimed to create awareness about how this noble act can add colour to someone’s life.
