Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College Hospital & Research Centre Organised Heart and Lung Transplantation CME

DR. D. Y. PATIL Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, in association with Indian Medical Association, PCB, organised Heart and Lung Transplantation CME on 28th August 2022. The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Sandeep Attawar, renowned Heart & Lung Transplant Surgeon; Program Director and Chair, Institute of Heart & Lung Transplantation, KIMS, Hyderabad, in the attendance of our esteemed Chief patrons for the event, Dr. P. D. Patil, Dr. Bhagyashree P. Patil, and Dr. Yashraj P. Patil. The event commenced with an introductory speech by Dr. Anurag Garg, HOD, CVTS, DPU Faculty from CVTS, Cardiology, Pulmonology & CCM, covered all aspects of the topic.

Dr. Sandeep Attawar spoke about how he got associated with DPU Hospital and how the initiatives organised by the hospital are bringing a massive shift in the medical field. He went on to talk about why they started with mechanical circulatory support, why it is needed and how it will completely replace heart transplantation in the future.

The patrons for the event were Dr. N. J. Pawar, Dr.(Brig) Amarjit Singh, Dr. P. Vatsalaswamy, Dr. J. S Bhawalkar, with a scientific committee that included Dr. Anurag Garg, Dr. Sanjay Devadhar, Dr. Ashish Dolas, and Dr. Shilpy Dolas.
